Ritual assurances.

Recently I was at a local unnamed Market stood in line at the cash register, and I overheard a telephone conversation a young lady standing behind me in the queue. She needed to be sure, of course. Probably she called her best friend and probably had a new boyfriend. Her call went something like this: "He therefore has a saint's day, but it will not be too bad, just give him the perfume? You think that's enough? And I had to buy something else? What do you think he will like it?" Assurances of continued and until I paid the buying and walked out of earshot.
Does the thought of her initial conversation was about as follows: "Jesus, what girl does not have its own opinion ?!" Then I sprinkled her head with ashes. My second reaction was to me the very first surprise. "Jesus, I do it too!"
I began to think about the fact that whether it is a trifle or a ritual assurances crucial thing is none of us can avoid.
We constantly need reassuring in many cases, for example if what we just wore suits us ..... How many times has happened to you, that you come to your friend, and one or the other of you said: "Please do not look at it like an idiot?"
Still, we usually then decide accordingly what we advise instinct and no friend on the phone.
I can not judge whether it is really a need to know foreign opinion on the matter or just a momentary calm.
Never nobody can assure us of what is right for us. When it comes right we'll know.
